The Department of Chemistry congratulates Christine Luscombe, professor of chemistry and of materials science and engineering, for her election to the Washington State Academy of Sciences. Professor Luscombe is recognized “for the development of controlled polymerization reactions for conjugated polymers, especially alkyl-thiophenes, for organic electronics applications.” Luscombe is also a faculty member with the Clean Energy Institute, the Molecular Engineering & Sciences Institute and the Institute for Nano-engineered Systems.
