- Safety Resources - UW in Seattle
Each UW campus has created a list of safety resources for folks to consult on- and near campus. The link to the Seattle one is above. It includes the UW SafeZone app and UW Alert and UW Alert Blog. The Division of Campus Community Safety provides strategic and operational support for UW Emergency Management, UW SafeCampus, and UW Police (in Seattle).
- Safe Campus
Safe Campus is the University of Washington’s violence-prevention and response Program. They support students, staff, faculty and community members in preventing violence.
Safe Campus is a primary resource to consider if you have questions about harassment. If you have been harassed, or if someone shares with you that they have been harassed, Safe Campus is a way to connect to resources and confidential advocates.
- Title IX Office
Title IX, Title VII, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Washington State law, and University of Washington policy collectively prohibit discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender expression, pregnant or parenting status, and LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) identity.
- Office of the Ombud
The Office of the Ombud serves the UW community by providing high quality, client-focused services for preventing, managing, navigating and resolving conflict at the UW. We act as thought-partners with clients to assist them in navigating any issue to do with their lives at the UW. Through active participation in the problem-solving process, clients develop the ability to prevent, manage, and resolve future conflicts.
- Husky Health & Well-Being
UW offers a wide range of health and wellness services, from exceptional medical care and counseling services to recreation classes, safety resources, peer health advocacy, trainings and more. Most services on this site are limited to currently matriculated UW Seattle students, while others are open to faculty, staff and the general public.
- UW Mental Health Resources
UW students have access to a range of mental health and counseling support, including individual counseling, group therapy, workshops and crisis services. In an emergency, always call 911.
- Let’s Talk (Seattle campus)
Let’s Talk is a program that connects UW students both virtually and in person with support from experienced mental health counselors from the Counseling Center without an appointment.
- UW Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity
The UW Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity (OMAD) creates pathways for diverse populations to access postsecondary opportunities, nurture and support their academic success, and cultivate a campus climate that enriches the educational experience for all.
- UW DO-IT
The DO-IT (Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology) Center is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through technology and education. It promotes awareness and accessibility—in both the classroom and the workplace—to maximize the potential of individuals with disabilities and make our communities more vibrant, diverse, and inclusive.

The Washington State Employee Assistance Program (WA EAP) connects all PEBB-eligible employees with experts who help you or your family members navigate life’s challenges. You get free, confidential access to guidance consultants who provide: Counseling, Legal advice, Financial guidance, Eldercare assistance, Work/life solutions, Consultation for managers, and Critical and traumatic incident response services.

The Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center of the University of Washington is part of The Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity.
