The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program was created to encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering and to foster excellence in these fields. Annabella Li was selected for this prestigious scholarship with 437 other scholars from a pool of more than 5,000 students nominated by 446 institutions across the country. She is pursuing a double degree in biochemistry and chemical engineering.
