Congratulations to Alison Thompson, who defended her Ph.D. work “Single-Cell Molecular Profiling of Nucleic Acids in the Microfluidic Self-Digitization Chip” on March 15, 2017. She was a student in Professor Daniel Chiu’s laboratory. She is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow in the laboratory of Jerry Radich at Fred Hutch in Seattle, where she is continuing to develop methods for single-cell characterization and investigating the utility of these methods for advancing treatment of acute myeloid leukemia.
