Congratulations to Maike Blakely, who defended her Ph.D. work “Insights into Dioxygen Activation by Biomimetic Alkyl Thiolate-Ligated Iron Complexes” on November 21, 2019. She was a student in Professor Kovacs’ laboratory and will join Joan Broderick’s lab at Montana State University. There she will focus on elucidating the mechanism of radical generation by the radical SAM superfamily of enzymes.
