Biochemistry Undergraduate Marium Raza named to the Husky 100!

Submitted by Tim Bradford on

Congratulations to Marium Raza on being named to the 2021 Husky 100!

The Husky 100 honors 100 UW undergraduates and graduate students in all areas of study who actively connect what happens inside and outside of the classroom and apply what they learn to make a difference on campus, in their communities, and for the future. Through their passion, leadership, and commitment, these students inspire all of us to shape our own Husky Experience.

Marium is working towards a dual degree with a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in the Comparative History of Ideas and plans to attend medical school after graduation. Marium believes healthcare is a fundamental human right and during her time at UW she embarked on an interdisciplinary exploration into how to make healthcare more equitable by delving into the science behind medicine by researching at a biophysics lab, leading her nonprofit Elixir to support undocumented immigrants, and volunteering with University District Street Medicine to serve homeless communities. We wish Marium well as she she moves forward and congratulate her once again on being named a Husky 100.
