Submitted by Diana Knight on

Congratulations to Alexis W. Mills, who defended her Ph.D. work “Modeling the Energetic Landscape of Transition Metal Complexes via Electronic Structure Theory and Chemically-Informed Artificial Intelligence Methodologies” on August 16, 2022. Alexis was a student in Professor Xiaosong Li’s research group and developed artificial intelligence algorithms supplemented by electronic structure theory. She has since accepted a position with Microsoft as a Machine Learning Engineer II, where she will apply the skills and knowledge she developed during her time at UW as a graduate student.
