Congratulations to Marcus Woodworth, who defended his Ph.D. work “Multiplexed, Single-Cell Profiling of Chromatin States with Expansion Microscopy” on February 24, 2023. Marcus was a student in Professor Joshua Vaughan’s research group, where he worked for six and a half years developing new microscopy-based methods to interrogate the epigenetic state of genes within cells. He has accepted a postdoctoral position with Dr. Melike Lakadamyali at the University of Pennsylvania, where he will focus on how diseases can change the chromatin structure of cells.
