Congratulations to Kyle Kluherz, who defended his Ph.D. work “Structural investigations of ytterbium dopant sites and elpasolite nanocrystal structure” on March 9, 2023. Kyle was a student in Professor Daniel Gamelin’s and Jim De Yoreo's research groups and worked at UW, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and the Advanced Photon Source for his dissertation research. He has accepted a postdoctoral position with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where he will focus on semiconductor nanocrystals for solar energy applications.
