The President’s Medal is presented annually by the University of Washington president to two graduating seniors who have achieved the most distinguished academic records in their class. One medal is given to a student who has completed at least three-fourths of degree requirements at the University. A second medal is awarded to a student who entered the University with at least 60 transfer credits from a Washington community college.
It is our great pleasure to announce that Anna Finch has been named a President’s Medalist this year. Anna has completed the entirety of her degree at the University of Washington. She is graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Oceanography with College Honors.
Anna is a member of the Chinese Student Association, an advocate for microplastics research and removal in coastal waters, and a semi-retired tap dancer. More about her involvement in the School of Oceanography is included in the May 30 post from Ocean Currents.
Congratulations, Anna!
