Catalog Description:
Provides project based training for synthesis & characterization of new energy materials, for generation and storage, and the integration of renewables into energy systems using instruments at the Clean Energy Research Training Testbed. Topics include nanoparticle synthesis, solar cells, impedance analysis, characterization with solar simulator, coin cell battery assembly & testing, photochemistry, semiconductor w/ 2D materials, grid simulation Offered: jointly with CHEM E 540/MSE 566; A.
